Hello, and thank you for visiting my page! Congratulations on taking the first step in seeking mental health services.
Please find more out about me by reading below.
I approach counseling with a deep empathy and belief in the power of your strengths and encourage insight, empowerment, and self-compassion. My counseling style is warm, collaborative, accepting, sincere, and validating. In my therapeutic work with clients, I take a collaborative approach to helping clients identify the specific problem areas they want to address. I encourage clients to be a full partner in their healing and growth. I aim to support clients to build a deeper sense of self-understanding and compassion as they identify their strengths and resources. I draw from a number of therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification, mindfulness-based, and insight-oriented psychotherapy. Over the many years I have been helping clients, I have learned the most effective factor in psychotherapy is the strong therapeutic connection I form with my clients. Together we work on building the skills needed to make changes in your life. My overriding goal in working with my clients is to enhance the quality of their lives. This is done by building on their strengths and enhancing the healthy coping they already possess while adding new skills and perspectives to cope with life’s changes. I look forward to working with you.
